Why does a turtle walks slowly? Have you ever thought of it? The first answer you'll get is that they have a heavy shell, it happens so but that's not the only reason.
The legs of a turtle are really weird as you can see in the picture. If the shell is removed the turtle still can not walk so briskly. Being herbivores it's not necessary for turtles to walk briskly their
food is stationary and they do not have to run for there food.They are also safe from the predators because of the shell, if a predator comes for a turtle it can hide himself into his shell.
